I think that the right side of the face shows more emotion because you can really see muscles in her face in her expression. Her face looks to have more of a depth and her features stand out. It's more flattering of an angle with her jaw outlining her face. Her emotion really comes out of the photo like you can feel her joy.

Static and Dynamic

This photo shows static composition in architecture because the columns are shooting vertically giving the picture an upward momentum to the top of the building going straight across horizontally.

This photo shows static composition in landscape because the only subjects in this photo are the flowers, which are all growing very straight vertically. There are no other shadows are main focused
lines going at angles.

are all an even amount apart.

This is a static composition portrait because the pole is very vertical and the two girls are staring directly horizontally.

This photo shows static composition in architecture because there are angles receding down in the rows of windows, all the floors are at angles, in the foreground there is a sharp angle where the wall and roof of the closest buildings come together. There are a lot of angles and shadows you can focus on in this shot.

This shows dynamic composition in landscape because the railing is coming down at an angle.Each stair has an angle and the bigger green stairs, a part of the house, have distinct wood planks shooting diagonally. The shoots of grass are tilted left, also corresponding with the railing.

Rule of Thirds

I used the Rule of Thirds by placing the center of the flower at the intersection of the top third and the right third to insure the flower as our main focus.

This depicts the rule of thirds because the post follows the right third's line directing the eye all the way up to the sign, the subject, which lays right on the cross between the top and the right thirds. 

This picture shows the rule of thirds because the subject in focus is completely in the left third to create a more visually appealing view.
